Although Lake Tahoe is not a coastal destination, its vast expanse of water, ever-changing light, and sense of openness inspired many paintings during my time along its shores.
The lake’s distinctive cobalt and emerald blues, deep green pines, and sparkling water create a palette unlike any other. Rich greens weave throughout these paintings, inspired by the towering forests that frame Tahoe’s remarkable views.
Together, these colors create a sense of freshness, balance, and connection to the landscape.
These works are inspired by the clarity and beauty that make Tahoe so memorable. The movement of light across the water and the lake’s expansive horizon often evoke the same feelings I find along the coast—a sense of calm, openness, and connection to the natural world.

Lake Tahoe was the setting for a particularly memorable time of my life. During the years when my children were young, it was a place where family traditions were formed, adventures were shared, and many wonderful memories were made. The sparkling blue of the lake and the scent of the pines remain among my strongest memories of Tahoe.
Featured works are selected from hundreds of paintings created throughout my career and are included as examples of my artistic approach. While no longer available, these paintings are shared as examples of my style and inspiration.
