The hidden coastal communities of Seascape and La Selva Beach inspire paintings shaped by space, light, and expansive views. Perched above Monterey Bay, these landscapes offer a unique sense of perspective, where broad vistas, open skies, and rolling coastal terrain stretch toward the horizon.

That feeling of openness often finds its way into the work. The compositions invite the eye to wander, while layers of color and expressive brushwork reflect shifting light, ocean breezes, and the changing landscape. These paintings seek to capture the calm, beauty, and sense of possibility that define this remarkable stretch of coastline.

Before making the coast our home, we frequently visited family in the area, and many of these paintings were created during those trips. The later works in this neighborhood series were painted after our move, when my children were in elementary school and everyday life near the ocean became a constant source of inspiration.

These works represent a small selection from hundreds of paintings created over the years and are shared as examples of my artistic style and inspiration. All have been sold and now reside in private collections.
