Lisa Fernald Barker
In the years past, I created paintings from memory. I would visit beautiful locations and then go back to my studio to express the feelings and colors that as I sat with the memories of each experience. It was my way of remembering the beauty when I traveled. Now that I am settled near the ocean, I choose to paint on location now - outside and on site. My new series in progress - "Living Landscapes" is where I live and our surrounding areas. The contributing elements of wind, ocean air and natural sounds contribute to the expressions in my paintings.
